All private and public schools accredited by the Ministry of Education may submit a request for computing equipment from OPEQ.
Example of projects:
- Set-up a computer lab
- Provide new tools for a classroom or a library
- Use for robotics
- Loan temporarily to youngsters with learning disabilities awaiting for technological assistance from the Ministry of Education
- Equip classrooms to train adults on general or professional programs
- Equip day care centers (homework assistance, play time, …)
- Create mobile lab to train helpers and personnel

Non-Profit Organizations (NPO)
Most non-profit organizations registered with the Quebec Enterprise Register (NEQ) are eligible.

- PACTE (Programme d’action communautaire sur le terrain de l’éducation)

Note:
- Laptops are not available for home based day care centers.
- 1 computer per 3 kids per year.
- Can only be used by the kids of the day care.
- Requests must be approved by your coordinator’s office.
Housing cooperatives (not-for-profit)
The equipment available in the catalog is for the use of the cooperative only and must remain the property of the cooperative. If a member of the cooperative wishes to acquire a computer, you must apply through the program for individuals: CLIC-OPEQ program.
Projects examples:
- Operations daily management (equipment belong to organization and not to individuals)
- Internet coffee for residents
- Formation activities for residents

You must fill the Eligibility COOP form, we will contact you after verifying your eligibility.
IMPORTANT:
You will also need to email us:
- a copy of your housing cooperative’s charter;
- a copy of your Articles of Constitution or Articles of Amendment.
The Articles of Constitution or Articles of Amendment are official documents issued by Direction des coopératives of the Government of Québec when registering your cooperative.
The Articles of Constitution or Articles of Amendment should state that the cooperative will not pay any dividents and will not pay interest on the preferred shares issued to members.

Public libraries may request computing equipment from OPEQ by simply submitting an online request : see catalog.
Requests must be approved by an accredited city representative.
