Environment, Health-Safety, and Security Policy

OPEQ — Ordinateurs pour les écoles du Québec contributes to a green and connected future by giving a second life to IT equipment through reuse and the rational use of resources. We are actively committed to adopting sustainable and responsible practices to minimize the impact of our activities, products, and services on the environment, protect the health and safety of our personnel, and ensure the confidentiality and security of data in all our operations. We also integrate concerns related to climate change into all our actions.
Thus, we commit to :
Respecting the laws and regulations to which OPEQ subscribes: complying with all environmental, healthsafety, and information security compliance obligations through continuous monitoring.
Managing risks effectively: implementing processes and ensuring their effectiveness to:
- Reduce our environmental impact;
- Protect our teams’ health and prevent accidents; and
- Secure entrusted data.
Protecting data: ensuring the confidentiality of data contained on electronic media throughout all operational processes.
Continuous training: offering regular training to our staff to maintain a high level of competence, commitment, and awareness.
Choosing responsible partners: collaborating with suppliers and partners who share our environmental and social values.
Managing eco-responsibly: applying the principles of 3RV (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Recover) for waste management in all our operations.
Collective commitment: encouraging everyone’s adherence to this policy by clarifying individual roles and responsibilities.
Maintaining and continuously improving an environmental, health-safety, and security management system, as well as our performance in waste management.
